When I was a little girl, I often spent the day with my great-grandmother, Nana. We would play dolls and dress-up and, if I was lucky, she would serve me ice cream with some of her delicious hot fudge sauce. I inherited her recipes, and began giving the fudge sauce to close friends at Christmas when I was a newlywed. The list grew to include teachers, coaches and clients and everyone looked forward to their annual delivery. Close to 25 years later I decided that I had the time and determination to start my own company and sell Nana's famous sauce. I launched BACKHOUSE FOODS in November of 2016 and in less than six weeks, thanks to great friends and willing retailers, I had sold over 1000 jars! I am humbled and excited by the demand and praise and look forward to sharing our famous dessert toppings with you! It truly is a family business and I'd like to thank my clever husband for the perfect company name, my daughter for her amazing photography and web design skills and my son for the heavy lifting and delivery. And many thanks to all of my family and friends for spreading the word and supporting my efforts! Most of all, I'd like to thank Nana. I adored her and without her special recipe this would have never happened!
